A friend recommended this place, and I didn't even give his recommendation any serious thought. I was looking for a good place to eat today and read about the place again.
We (two people) walked in quite late by Bangalore standards (10:10 PM), and started the order with a Beer, and "Lager with Lime". I had a few sips of the latter, and I would highly recommend it to those who don't enjoy the bitter side of beer. For starters, we ordered 'crab sticks' - 5 sticks of crab meat fried in a crispy batter, and served with a sour cream dip. The fact that there was no compromise on the amount of meat felt good.
For the main course, we ordered the smoked pork chops, and creamy sea food. Both were served with rice (and some potatoes etc) which, for once, was really good. Normally, most places serve really bad rice with meat. The pork chops were the best I have had in the country. The meat was cooked perfectly - crisp, yet pink and spongy. The black pepper sauce it was served with wasn't over the top either, and hit the right balance. Creamy seafood was basically prawns, some fish, crab meat (chunks and shreds) cooked in a creamy/cheesy white sauce. Unlike most places that serve the regular "chunks of meat in an ocean of white sauce" , there was more meat than the sauce - something that they should be appreciated for.
We had a second round of drinks, a Diezel (beer with coke), and another drink which was just beer with fruit-juice.
The rest of the menu consists of steaks, burgers (beef, chicken, lamb and pork), and lots of side dishes (wings etc). There is some stuff for the vegetarians as well. The drinks menu is basically beer-mixes - but they are done really well based on whatever I had.
Overall, I had one of the best eating experiences ever. The food and drinks are great, and the service quick. I am not a big fan of a waiter standing by your neck, asking how good the food is every 5 minutes. Thus, I didn't have much issues with the service. The guys are polite, and fast. They took our main course order, despite the fact that the kitchen had closed! I wasn't there for long, but I am going to be in the city for two months, and my office isn't too far. I think I'd be a regular in this place.
