Its pleasantly astonishing how BYD has become a rage within months of its launch, whats more heartening is to see all the restaurants like BYD and Woodbox Café expanding to south campus as well..
The menu is the same- awesome as ever and so is the quality of food. We went for our favorite chocolate Brownie Shake and Rocky Road Shake which were delicious as ever. Along with that we had Grilled Chicken Sandwich- which was again high in terms of taste and quality.
The outside DECOR is really cute with a yellow door, lined with plants outside. There is a huge window from where you can see the insides of the outlet. The interiors are cute as well, with cute DIY (do-it-yourself) crafts and though the place has normal interiors as a whole, there are some really cute corners. The place has really closely lined tables, though this is not a problem till you have decent neighbors (in the sense that the neighbors do not plan to stand up and move around every few seconds, that is really extremely irritating: own experience). Anyways, not much the outlet can do about it, so all good on their part.
THE STAFF gives you the menu, is polite, takes orders (without standing on your head, even at such a busy place), gives recommendations when asked, gets you the food, gets you the bill when asked for, asks you how you find the food, especially in case of leftovers (our reason for leftovers: we ordered too much!). The only little advice for staff: get the starter first, then the main course, though that did not pose too much of a problem as the starter followed a few minutes after the main course and its summer, so food doesn't get cold so quickly.
Now, the main point. THE FOOD. The nachos were good, better than I have had at most places, and the best at that cost. They were really cheesy with cheese dripping. They were served with a salsa. The nachos had a bit of corn and hardly any jalapenos. Still they were nice. This dish is a little heavy. The Green Apple Ice-cream soda was really very good. Having read not so great reviews about their pastas, I still opted for Tipsy-licious pasta, just because it is a specialty. It turned out to be a decent choice, I liked it. According to my friend, the stuffed chicken was better than expected. Even at that cost, they managed to serve chicken and a decent amount of sides like fries, veggies, etc. It was well cooked and tasted nice.
BYD is a nice place for good value for money food. Would like to visit and try out more food.
