normally, i'm spot on with my foodie recommendations and i had tried out this place on two separate occassions (for lunch and dinner) and on both occasions I absolutely loved the place! Their non-veg selection was quite impressive and delectable while the veggies among us did have a reasonable degree of recourse in the veg kebabs and the main course. they have this particular grilled potato that I think is fantastic and a sweetish bread that is ooh-la-la. desert spread is strictly ok, and the main course can be given a miss if the kebabs are all that interest you.
That said, I confidently recommended this place to some buddies and that was when Murphy stepped in (you know, the guy who says stuff goes wrong?). Now, while my buddies and I aren't skinflints by any stretch of the imagination, we do like value for money. I didn't get the number of the truck that hit me, but the food was only a few notched above abysmal on my previous(my third in all) and given that the main course isn't exactly a gourmet's dream, it left a bitter feeling in the mouth (bad pun not intended).
The damages worked out to about 600 bucks a head for the buffet, of which we didn't really enjoy much. Funnily, i remember the buffet being 400 odd on my previous visits. Maybe some odd caveats I failed to notice?
Why the four stars then given my dismal experience? Well, I know these guys are good, so one swallow should not a summer make. That said, I am now psychologically scarred by these guys, so I will proceed with caution before heading there.
If you do choose to head over, all the best. I hope you don't catch these guys on an off-day 'coz they really are worth it. who knows, maybe lady luck will be kinder to you...
