chic, elegant, sexy
This new swanky restaurant and lounge on Juhu Tara Rd just oozes sex appeal. Dimly lit indoor/outdoor combination, excellent nuevo Moroccan cuisine, and a friendly wait staff makes this THE place to be seen at in the 'burbs.
I was here for a birthday party and got to mingle both inside and outside. I certainly prefer the outdoor area, right on the beach, facing the sea. The seating area outside is plentiful - white leather ottomans litter the floors around candle-lit tables. There is one uber-special table in the corner, reminiscent of a shikara or diwan type setup. Very nice.
Drinks were not as stiff as I would have liked them and the wait staff, although kind, was not the seasoned group of cultured professionals you might expect in this place. Wine list was nothing to write home about either. Having that said, they did make some good recommendations for alternatives to the normal stuff we are always consuming (Bacardi, Smirnoff, etc.). The extra-dirty vodka martinis were fabulous (ask for Grey Goose as your vodka).
We ordered some wasabi-rubbed grilled prawns with creme fraiche & creole potatoes with bleu cheese dressing - both were excellent.
All in all, there are way too many positives about this place to even subtract one half a star. One major warning: VERY expensive. This place will rock your wallet or purse, even for a few drinks.
