For a chilled out friday night.
Pop Tate's has the following:
1. Chilled out ambience
2. Good range of food and drinks
3. Clean loo, with graffiti and pinup boards inside
4. Jon, the ex-manager was the best guy around, he would send in the best starters and suggest food that would blow your mind.
5. Bipin is the current manager (circa Dec '08), and is also pretty good. But you have to know what to order though.
6. Waiters are generally responsive and friendly, though stressed out when the crowd hits the place.
7. Special mention for the thai rice, the crispy corn starters and also the mashed potatoes.
Call in before you reach the place for a table, alternatively, talk to Bipin, get a reservation for a table, and spend the wait time in the Timbuktoo lounge behind tate's. Waiting for a table was never so entertaining.
