When I visited Sheriff for the first time about 7 years back, I was bowled over....by its Wild West theme. Yes, it was one of my so called intellectual friends from media who got me to this place.
I was amazed with the exotic names in the menu card like Chicken Enchilada and Fajitas...
Soon I got some visitors from the US, a Hispanic- Alfredo....the other one is a Mexican...Jullien Estrada....they went along with me on an usual photo shoot safari thru the by-lanes on North Calcutta and Kumartooli...when we were dam tired and hungry, I took them straight to Sheriff.
Jullie was so excited looking at the menu, by reading every name, I could see thousand a watt smile in her face....what she ordered I forgot, but when it was served....Alfredo and Jullien....both of them declared with disappointment “it’s anything but Mexican”...though the names sounded Mexican....but what is served is far too away of being Mexican....anyways, I had to find out a Pizza shop nearby to put off the fire of their stomach. Later on I tasted the Mexican food in London...I will not compare, but I know the difference by now!
My rating for Sheriff is 2 out of 5
