I had walked out of this place about a month ago and swore that it would be my first-n-last visit. We asked for a table for 4- no doubt we got one but believe me this table was definitely too small for the 4 us- considering we were looking forward to a leisurely dinner. So we shifted to table for 6 considering that the restaurant was pretty empty. The baldy (probably the manager) 'orders' us (..by no means a request) to go sit on the original table- that too from a distance where almost half the restaurant knew what was happening. The body language and the tone was uncalled for. That was it! We walked out of this place giving him a piece of our mind.
A few days back I wanted to take my family out of dinner. My mom had been here as well and highly recommended the food. Since we were falling short of ideas- i said what the hell... Lets go for it! This time we were 10 of us. I was looking out for the same guy- luckily no where to be seen. It was a Sunday night and the fact that he wasn't around meant he's gone for good (at least I would like to think so) Coz i definitely want to visit this place again- and DO NOT want to touch base with this fellow.
Anyways, we ordered for
Main Course:
* Lamb in Hunan
* Prawns in Black Pepper Sauce
* Chicken Sichwan
* Vegetable in Hunan
* 3 Veg Fried Rice
* 2 Veg Hakka Noodles
Dessert:
* 2 Sizzling Brownies
Damage:
Rs 1960 (not bad huh?)
The food was outstanding- I loved it as much as I love the chinese at China Gate (Bandra). The menu is pretty extensive and the service was great as well - they were really quick with serving us and the staff was really friendly. The decor is essentially pastel green with dark wood which gives it a very pleasant ambiance.
Next time I crave for chinese this is definitely going to be my first option at least in chembur!
