Disclaimer - I am gonna compare this restaurant with the Thai restaurants in US.

My wife and I went here without reservation on a Saturday evening. Ever since we came back from the US, we had craving for Thai food. Of course, they had to act pricey by calling up the first floor and saying things like "I'll try my best". We managed to get a place without any waiting.

The ambience of the restaurant is decent, nothing to rave about. There's much more they could have done to make it look more oriental and funky.

They served these sweet seasame covered peanuts. I liked those since I was too hungry. The names on the menu were a little confusing. But since we're experienced Thai eaters, we could figure things out by the ingredients.

We called for a Tom Yum soup and a tofu with peanut sauce for appetizers. The soup was decent but the starter was strictly OK.

We then called for Penang Curry with Steam Rice and Pad Thai. I must say the Pad Thai was very good. But I was highly disappointed by the Penang Curry. The curry was way too thick and it had a lot of Indian flavour to it.

One could pass the curry for Paneer Makhanwala! Another 'not so cool' thing was that they served Jasmine Rice which was just like Basmati. Thai food does not go well with that rice.

We then called for Sticky rice with Mango - one of our favourite Thai desserts. That was passable.

All in all, the service was good. The food - not sure we would get the kind of craving for the Thai food here ever so often. Worth trying once!
