this place is real shi shi, but then?!
finally a place in bombay that holds its own when being compared to the international party scene and clubs abroad. great house/club music for starters, well dressed people, great decor and ambience, staff was quick and friendly...china house will put the poisons and the prives to shame!
now for the flipside:
i was annoyed to find out that the bar doesnt accept cash or credit card. instead, now u gotta go pay in cash or card at a counter near the main door and get a gift card which the bartender will then swipe. i found this to be completely unnecessary, and a total money-making scam. the customer has no idea how much balance the card has, neither does the bartender give any receipt which shows how much the drink costs (unless asked for). why cant they just give out paper coupons with denominations on it, like other places?? atleast the customer can track how much he/she spent and what is left over.
anyways, go here for a phenomenal night out and a great party experience but i would keep an eye open to see if one is being scammed in this spot; which serves overpriced drinks in the first place.
