Awful "Smokin Joe's Special" Pizza
Oh well....
This is small place just at the corner of Chincholi Bunder Rd and Link Road Junction, 2 mins from Mindspace and 3 mins from InOrbit and 4 mins from Hypercity ( Yeh Yeh )
I guess they just opened up recently, just so there could be competition to the 2 Pizza Hut's located in the area and also to "serve" the call-centre and BPO crowds.
I had Never ever been to any Smokin Joes outlet in the city... the numero uno reason being, I'm a die hard fan of the Pizza's made by the "other" Pizza maker.
I just happened to drop by here, as a friend from Delhi wanted to try them out.. I was like, "What the heck, I'll get to write a review"
The friend ordered the 7" "Chicken Tikka" and me, a self-proclaimed stupid wise-crack ordered "Smokin Joe's special chicken pizza with Chicken stuffed crust".
How was it ? In one word, "Awful". Yeh you got that right.
The "stuffing" in the stuffed crust was like a roti rolled into a Roll. n that to untidily.. I wish I had taken a pic.
N chicken tasted like water.. ( meanin it was bland with no taste )
The Pizza lacked Sauce.. I had no clue whether it was even there..
The chicken tikka was better than this one... the chicken was nicely cooked and it was how pizzas should be. Tasty.
Over and all, I'd just suggest to avoid their Special Pizza. For 200 bucks ( incuding 50 bucks for the stuffed crust ) theres nothing special in it.
