We discovered Fortune Cookie quite by accident. I had in mind to hunt for one of the other places I had so heard of when we spotted the big board announcing the existence of this chinese joints. In a little reckless, albeit adventurous spirit we decided to try it out!
Fortune cookie, is very oriental in its ambience, in fact, very reminiscent of oriental restaurants which boast of opium bars in the back. But if your overlook the failure at subtle elegance, the restautrant does boast of some really comfortable seating arrangements! High back cushioned chairs, which dont have you wriggling your butt in discomfort in less than a quarter of an hour!
The food served is well, indian chinese, but thoroughly relishable! The crispy fried vegetables in the sweet and spicey sauce were a real treat and had us looking forward to the main course.
The main course in itself was far from disappointing. While I will not go as far as to say it is the best chinese I have had so far, it definitely rates as good!
Go there some evening when you want to just unwind and be bothered about nothing in particular!
