I didn't expect this place to be *actually* located under a banyan tree, but was pleasantly surprised to find out that it indeed was right underneath one big friggin banyan tree.
They run a cafe with a lot of open area which they've covered with an awning (this might be just during the monsoon season). It is located sufficiently away from the Peddar road, so as to escape the incessant honking of cars on the road. The place makes you feel right at home with it's lovely quiet surroundings.
We had a small get-together of a few burrpers here, this morning. The owner himself supervised the serving of the food and drinks. The service was very efficient. A couple of must try items are the Watermelon + Mint aerated drink and the hummus pita bread combo. The Hummus was just out of the world. Truly fantastic. The cappuccino we had later was okayish.
This is one of those places, that you'd love to go back to with a big fat book on a warm and lazy Sunday afternoon. The only other place that comes close is Prithvi Cafe.
Next time you are planning a get-together or a birthday party, this is the place to go to.
