Amazingly serene Sunday hangout
Now most of the people that trickle into this place during the weekday are most likely star crossed loverboys looking to steal a minute or two with the Sophia all-girl's college. This place resides literally next door to the girl's hostel, making it a popular spot for young guys. What's so special about this place is the serene atmosphere it offers on a calm, Sunday morning. Fresh espresso, lavash and hummus and maybe a watermelon-mint cooler over the course of a few hours with a book or a chess board - now that sounds enticing. The owner is very courteous and hospitable, the menu is inventive, and the food quality is outstanding.
Whether you go here for the eye candy or to attain nirvana under the twisted branches of two giant banyans, Under the Banyan Tree will get you there.
