It all started after reading few good reviews from 'burrp' and really wanted to try out this place. So, planned for a dinner treat with my friend on Saturday evening...
Since we were only two, thought no need to call and reserve the table however, I called them up to book BUT was informed no phone booking on weekends... PS: Weekdays bookings are done..
I reached the place at around 9:30 late evening and I know its too late but surprisingly I was annoyed to see lots crowd waiting out..
The person taking names outside assured that he will get a table within 20 min or so, in the meantime I happen to have a friendly chat with the owner Mr Jiya Jain and enquired about the place..just wanted to do some Time Pass :) :)..
Ambience - is cool, starting from the entry you could see a huge wooden door which appears to be an antique with few other crafted pieces inside... The place seems to be spacious however it was too crowded & noisy when I went...
Service - The service is quite good with couple of them are always there to attend you...
Food - As usual we went with a soup (1947 dal shorba), masala papad and a starter (Bharwan aloo) which was made differently ! ! The taste was appreciable..
Guys, try out a mango based drink 'Amba Panna' this is really awesome and improves your appetite...:) :) we had 2 of this, it was really nice..DONT MISS...Main course included few rotis (it was soft, as requested) and a kulcha with couple of sabzis...The taste is not so different from the other places but was good though..
Ended up with a Kesar kulfi, which believe me will suffice for more than 2... :) :)
Price - Moderate as indicated, will cost around Rs 300 per person, on an average...
Improvement areas: Since the crowd inflow is more during weekends, they should work out for the alternatives & managing, as few had to headback due to long waiting time (around 30-45 min). I could see the sigh of disappointment :(
Thanks for Jiya Jain who is planning to extended the Restaurant space on the floor above, itseems it will start to operate soon..
Overall, it was nice experience with a tasty, veggie foooood...:)
