Great Sandwiches for Chemburites!

It was our regular spot during school days- I vividly remember going there after my tuitions to grab an ice slush!
I am sure everyone in Chembur, at some point, has been a regular here!

Hats off to Tastings - they've managed to hold fort through the various competition and changing retails trends. With Barista, Baskins & Robbins, Croissants and Naturals Icecream propping up just a stone throw away. They have continually re-invented themselves from a small ice cream parlour to a more comprehensive fast food/cafe.

Their offering today ranges from ice creams to cakes/ pastries to sandwiches and the regular fast food items (haven't tried pav bhaji type of stuff) I surely recommend the cakes and the sandwiches- they are more than reasonably priced! In the icecreams try the 'Mocha Almond' it really rocks big time!

Anyways, a couple of days back I was dying to go grab a sandwich at Subway. The Sunday laziness was pretty much running through by body and by the time we decided to leave it was already 11-15pm. Unfortunately, the closest Subway was about half hour away- chances of getting to Subway was going to be tight. So we decided to order-in... my desire for a tasty sandwich was still very much alive. My brother has always been talking about the sandwiches at Tastings- thought I'll give it a try. Obviously there is no comparison between Subway and the local Tastings in terms of the variety. We called in for two 'Just Veg' grilled sandwiches and a Paneer sandwich. The sandwiches were home in no time. The bill was Rs 120 and boy, the sandwiches were humongous. Total value for money! The sandwiches were more than filling - wished i didn't order for the third one.

So if you feel the need to grab a healthy-filling-sandwich don't think twice to call 'your friendly neighbourhood Tastings'
