Great Chinese Food
Gone to this place several times for drinks but somehow it didn't click to go eat here. Always wondered where one can eat good chinese food in south mumbai apart from CCI club. Food was excellent very tasty & very fresh. We ordered Chicken Oyester sauce which was amazing; a must try & the typical Kung Pao Chicken which was good but Oyester sauce was way better. Even the noodles & rice was very very fresh. Good quantities & very reasonably priced. Without drinks it was approx Rs.400-500 per head. A must go, call ahead for appointment tables looked few & far. Oh the chairs...a good surprise very comfortable (the long one's).
I still can't think of any other good chinese food place in south mumbai!

Elegant Dining + Lounge
Visited this much-heard-about place on a week night. I was a little early than my reservation, so I hung around the bar on the base level of the lounge. There werent too many people (10 pm) and the DJ was playing some good music while the bar tender was overly communicative in preparing our drinks which turned out to be below par. The mojito i ordered barely had any sugar syrp and the bar tender was justifying his mix!
Anyways, moving on from the bar to the 1st floor where the dining section is located - tables are well spread while the chairs are raised to the celing in an emperor form. Excellent ambiance and very friendly staff.
We were asked to pick from a pre set meal (about 1k pp) or go ala carte. We choose the latter. We ordered for a very conventional chinese meal - hot and sour soup and veg crispy veg in chilli garlic sauce. Both of these were top notch. The soup had the perfect amount of veg and the spice hit the spot. Veg crispy were one of the best i have had (not too oily unlike other chinese restaurants). The boiled peanuts (heard a lot about these on burrp) were a must have. We ordered a mushroom, corn, brocolli in soy sauce entree with friend rice which was very well done (the sauce was a little salty though). Decent portions too. The desert of Brownie with Vanilla icecream was extremely good and again one of the best i have had.
All in all 2 thumbs up to this place for its ambiance, quality of food, service and, value for money (heard this place to be very very expensive but it really isnt). Wholesome dinner for 2 without drinks = INR 1400. (Drinks are expensive though = 400 for a basic cocktail). But a must go with your special someone, preferably on a week night as i have heard this place being packed on weekend. Dont forget to make reservations though!

Dazzled with the overwhelming response at Henry's..................A great concept with out of this world food and drinks.....Even a seven star deluxe will also not offer such a warm and hospitable service.....great work Henry .make us feel proud to be mumbaikars,,,,,,,,,,,great show....hope you open some restaurants in Delhi and banglore too....

a life time memorable experience
I got surprised when i went to celebrate my anniversary in Henry Tham Restaurant. The moment staff came to know it was my anniversary, all of a sudden there was a gang of boys and girls surrounding us. It was scary but after a while when they sang the song of celebration I felt like the most special person. Its really a great place to take your fiance to impress..trust me never seen such an energy in a restaurant..its a lifestyle in here.specially the music herein is the best in the city talking in terms of house....the over all ambiance of the place is zen like..a place really to enjoy your eveningt o unveil yourself and comaflague as the sun sets with single malts , wines and authentic chinese food...........................
the prices are not very high if compared to the top other restaurants ....there is much more value for money...................
Happened to converse with one of the most friendly group of bar guys......they really have something special in them......the way they are behind the bar..you feel so friendly, so comfortable....they really make you busy with there funny jokes.....sqanky puzzles and fresh cocktails....Ankit Negandhi.....the winner of the BEST BARTENDER IN INDIA sponsored by BACARDI MARTINI PVT. LTD. as showcased in the certificate and the massixe crytal trophey at the main bar ...says everything about the cocktails they serve.........he called his drink--Balaustine of Bahamaas...in short - "B- square" said he feels very special representing INDIA for the international level bartending competition GRAND FINALE which is in TURIN in Italy.......HOPE HE WINS ....me and my wife really had a great time...there is really a place in mumbai to enjoy a lifestyle --A DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE........ITS SIMPLY WOW...........

The worst Experience of my life.
Henry Tham's, a place that I had heard of from Burrp.com to be good for its food and ambiance. Well, we happened to bump into this place on 31st May to watch the semis of the IPL. Sitting in their Lounge area, we called for drinks for our selves and thats when all the problems with their services started. Here is the entire flow of all the things that happened at HENRY THAM'S WHICH IS NOT REALLY ACCEPTABLE!!
1. We were served Jim Beam instead of Jack Daniels - reason being no stock available of JDs.
2. We had called for these drinks with Red Bull and the drink was prepared by them at the Bar Counter itself and not at our Table
3. There was no Stirrer provided and we actually had to call for everything we had asked for.
4. After sipping a bit of the drink, there was froth left in our whiskey glasses which never happens. On speaking to the Manager, he got them replaced and the drinks were again made at the Bar Counter and not at the Table.
5. For almost 10 minutes we were left without drinks and in the mean time they served us the Starters WITHOUT the Service pates, Forks and Knives.
6. Sauces were actually to be called for and were not provided promptly.
7. The steward ends up serving Non-veg in the Veg Platter while he was already aware of the fact. In that case, he actually lifts the Non-veg Starter from my platter and puts it in my brother's plate! HOW THE HELL WOULD ONE ACCEPT THE FOOD TO BE PICKED FROM ONE PLATE AND PUT INTO SOMEONE Else's PLATE!!!!!
8. The second drink is called for and this time its prepared at the table. Unfortunately, FROM GOD KNOWS WHERE TWO SMALL COCKROACHES ROLL ON TO THE TABLE.... PATHETIC.... really not acceptable man.......
we decide to leave after facing so many problems with the service. Mr. Pravesh Pandey, the Restaurant Manager, addresses to all these problems with a cool and says that we are sorry for all the mishaps. By then, by brother and my friend, who had sipped the drinks here, started feeling uneasy and were not at all comfortable. After seeing this, the manager actually goes to the extent of asking my brother if he would like to have some tablets and stuff... not done as thats not the way to handle the situation.
STILL THEY BILL ME WITH Rs. 4,513/- for all the bad services and mishaps that we had to go through. I swiped my card and we left in no time, both my bro and friend were not at ease and were feeling sick.
We had to drop there back and we had to fight for the kind of treatment given to us. On asking for canceling the transaction, the so called Admin Head, MR. Krishna, tries to raise his voice and tries to catches hold of my hand as I was really not happy with the way were served and treated.
On asking for the samples and the empty bottles of the Whiskey from which we were served, they were NOT READY TO GIVE IT and said that you may do whatever you want.
THATS NOT THE WAY TO BE TREATED AND A FINE DINNING RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE. Finally, when we raised our voices and called for the cops, they feared about the incident and got our Billing transaction reversed.
CONSIDERING THE MISHAPS AND THE KIND OF SERVICE LEVELS THAT ARE PRACTICED AT THIS PLACE, I WOULD REALLY NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVER VISIT THIS PLACE. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF THIS FEEDBACK AND REVIEW IS CONSIDERED REST IS YOUR CALL.
CONCLUSION: WORST PLACE TO EVER VISIT AND BE PREPARED TO BE EMBARRASSED IF YOU END UP DINING HERE....
