In the trio of Relish, Samrat and 210 degrees-while Relish and 210 degrees are at the top of their game for italian/sizzlers/even chinese and bakery stuff-croissants/quiches/cakes/pastries/breads etc. respectively, samrat somehow doesnt measure upto them.
I have been here just about 3-4 times, had thaali 2 times and garlic naan, some paneer thing, a tomato soup the last time-somehow always thought something is missing..its not that food is bad or anything, but its just not memorable enough. And service is quite unpredictable-first time i had thaali, service was very good, second time we had to try and get attention of the waiter for refills...so somehow in churchgate area, i always prefer going to Satkar or Shiv Sagar rather than Samrat-
of course the ambience here is really really nice, and worthy of coming for special occasions, with family or if u wanna impress ur date with some good indian food...

One of the best vegetarian places around for a long time. Love it for the simple reason, gives you only one sabzi & phulka's from the Thali if you so desire; only farsan if you want with the beer...Besides the punjabi is also super.
A good place to go to, if you are working in town, wander in around 12.30 on saturday afternoon, have a couple of beers, some food & snooze your way home to the burbs......burrp, burrp

One of my family's favourite restaurant. I have been freqenting the same since my childhood. Just the perfect taste for me.
My Ideal meal at Samrat would be:-
Tomoto Soup (with bread roll & butter)
Corn Bhel (for starter)
Panner Butter Masala & Channa Masala (Vegetables)
Butter Paratha
Fresh Lime Soda.
You may also try Gujarati Thali.
Service is also excellent. Don't visit on a Sunday otheriwse waiting time will be too long. However if Sunday is only day you can visit then enter the restaurant before 7.00 PM.
