Worst Service 2009-12-23
Banana Leaf doesn't care about its customers. Last night, when I went out with my friend and had a thali and a pulichhe sadam (tamarind rice), we had our worst ever dining experience. The rasam was awful, no self respecting South Indian would like it. Ditto with the Avial. The pulichesadam was way too spicy and when we told the head waiter so, he just shrugged and told us that we should have told him so after we had the first spoon. He wasn't even interested in the feedback and continued his rude tirade as if it were the customer's fault, "It is not our fault. If you had told us earlier I could have fired the chef." The prices were reasonable but nothing will take me back to this restaurant ever. Rice Boat's service even in isolatio without comparing it to Banana Leaf is simply super. -
