I have been a member of this gym for over 3 years more due to lack of good alternatives in the neighborhood. But increasingly I am beginning to wonder whether this is a good enough excuse to continue in this gym?
The gym which boasts of a salsa class every weekend, steam, massage, etc is quite spacious and airy. It also has good equipment. But most of the time one of the four walkers or cross trainers or the cycling machines will be out of commission.
What really gets one's goat is that the trainers are ill-trained and also not at all interested in their jobs. Most of them flock around or gossip with each other rather than pay attention to seeing if the members are doing the right thing in the name of exercising. The only way to get their undivided attention is to cough up extra to one of them for personal training, where they will then push you to the limits of all endurance in their quest of having crafted the next SRK with eight packs. Otherwise, ask them to draw up an exercise plan for you and you will be lucky if you get one even after 4 months.
Ditto with the membership card, which was made mandatory in June, but still most members have not received them for flimsy reasons like the card not being laminated -- for more than 4 months!!!
If you are someone who knows what exercises you need to do to get rid of that stubborn fat without assistance then this is a good enough place, also because it is fairly cheaper than the Talwalkars in the nieghborhood. But enter at your own risk.
