Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Staying Alive is a black comedy that explores what life is all about. Does merely staying alive mean you are “living”, or does death sometimes actually make you “live”? Based on a true story by Sujit Sen, this is, at once, a funny, moving, and stunning film. Aditya, a newspaper sub-editor, suffers his third heart attack and finds himself in the ICU of a hospital. On the neighbouring bed is Shaukat Ali, an underworld hoodlum who has incidentally suffered his first heart attack. Shaukat suffered this attack while eating kebabs: even as he was experiencing a piercing pain in his chest, he continued to reach out for more kebabs! While Shaukat is petrified of dying (to him, death is something he dispenses and that happens only to others), Aditya scoffs at death (after three attacks, death has become a joke). The bonding between these two disparate forces is what Staying Alive explores.
