Event DetailsHindustani music recital by Sahana Banerjee (Sitar) and Arnab Chatterjee (Vocal) at Little Theatre, NCPA. Sahana Banerjee, accomplished sitar player of the Rampur Senia gharana, was a child prodigy at the age of four. Daughter of Santhosh Banerjee, sitar and surbahar player, and vocal musician Chhabi Banerjee, Sahana's style combines the best of the Veenkar Dhrupad style of the gharana and her own aesthetic blend of gayaki . Arnab Chatterjee, who received his early training in music in the subarban town of Basirhat, near Kolkata, from his musician father, Arun Kumar Chatterjee, of the Kirana gharana.
