It is the highest point in the Thane district. The forest surrounding Mahuli has been declared as a sanctuary. This is a popular trekking destination and a paradise for rock-climbers because of many nearby pinnacles with interesting names like Vazir, Vishnu, etc., given by the local trekking and climbing fraternity.
The charges for the trek are INR 200/- per head, which includes traveling from Asangaon to Asangaon , breakfast& refreshment.
List of all the things that should carry for the trek:-
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. So that one has hands free while trekking.
• A bottle of water (2 Ltrs).
• Lunch for Sunday {Compulsory}.
• Camera (Optional), Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry (at own risk)
• Electoral powder, 2 Lemon, some snacks & biscuits (optional).
• Torch with extra batteries.
• Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, mosquito’s cream.
• A good trekking shoes.
• Windcheater etc
Rains showers are expected, so pack your bags accordingly.
