Event DetailsDon't mess with stand-up comic Gordon Southern, the last time a drunk disrupted his act, he made him sound like a wounded cow. Idid the whole India thing when I was 18 years old while I was studying. Buying clothes, visiting hill stations, going to Goa, getting sick and getting stoned, you know the usual clichd stuff," says comedian Gordon Southern. A battle of two comedy clubs is waiting to get underway with the Comedy Store opening up later this year and the International Comedy Club getting a string of comedians every month. He travels to India with an upcoming Australian comic James Moffet. With a few days in hand before the show, Gordon will rely on his observational skills to get new material on India and the stuff he has collected through his travels. Gordon says, "I had scribbled about 30 pages in this yellow diary which I have saved from my first trip to India. But I was too young and nave then. At one moment I've written about the abject poverty and the next I've written about haggling for two rupees on a T-shirt, and being quite thrilled about it. I see the irony now.
