Event Details
Shweta Prachande is a promising young Pune-based dancer who has trained under leading dance teachers. After graduating from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Bharata Natyam, she had her arangetram at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai, in 2003. She has trained for five years at the Kalavardhini dance institution of senior dancer-scholar, Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar, and is presently a student of renowned Bharata Natyam exponent, Priyadarsini Govind, and K. N. Shajilal of Kalakshetra. The accolades that have come her way include the Maharashtra Sanman Award (2006) the Singer Mani title (2008) and the Nritya Bhushan Award (2006), among others. She has performed at several concert platforms and festivals, including the Ghungroo Festival (MP).
