Rolling Stone Live ft Sajid & The Lost Boys
at The Blue Frog, Lower Parel | 9:30 PM - 11:30 PM
What
Sajid began playing guitar in school and realised the need to delve further into music. His first band Killer Tomatoes (1998-2003) made headlines as soon as they started off, creating a buzz in Delhi with charged performances and a blooming fan base. K.T. went onto winning Mood Indigo (Bombay) and a string of other rock festivals in Pillani, Kanpur and Chennai. Success and acclaim followed thereafter. Sajid went on to work with television media soon after. An acute sense of observation coupled with musical sensitivity made way for new inspiration. He stepped out to form a simplistic yet evocative way to play his music. A careful blend of synthetic textures and electronic sound creates a counter energy in his music. Mira, the first song, recorded recently is a reflection of the yearning for a perfect balance of acoustic guitar and moody lyricism The song is about feelings of obsessive and unrequited love. Love and life's bitter sweet ironies are the central theme of Sajid's music. The Band: Anindo Bose - Keyboards, loops and ambience, Abhishek Mathur - Electric Guitars, Gaurav Chintamani - Bass, Aman Singh - Drums and Sajid Akbar - Vocals/ Acoustic Guitar
