Our table was given away after reconfirming the reservation on phone- we had called and informed and reconfirmed since we were running 20 minutes late ! And then to be told by the reception lady that we have to be cooperative ! After a long 35 minute wait for a table during which we were given another small table to sit - even water was not served. We had to ask for the water and the complimetary cheese sticks since we were starving - which were not bought to us until we had to remind them three times. Delicious execution of a creative and healthy menu 2012-03-06
The menu at 36 Oak & Barley is full of so many wholesome options with a creative twist. I've now had two delicious meals since they re-opened a month ago. I've stuffed myself on all the delicious goodies (with generous portions), yet I always feel light and healthy at while my tummy and tastebuds feel more than satisfied.
The new decor looks awesome, particularly the metal "splashed" into the woodwork on the floors and entrance walls. Nicely done! -

Give it a try with open mind! 2012-03-05
After reading some very positive and negative reviews on several different websites, I decided to go alone and took my time to try a few dishes this place has to offer.
This restaurant is situated on a busy road that lined with lots of old buildings and shops which look a bit tired. But you will be pleasantly surprised once you step into this place. The color theme inside of the restaurant are not very modern( can be intimidating)but somehow very subtle and calming. It make you want to sit down with few friends for a nice meal or just by yourself for a quick bite or even a long lunch.
