After reading all the good reviews here, there is really not much to be said...just citing my experience in short -
After getting so many recommendations for 5 Spice- Pali, Bandra - I finally went there for lunch with a friend -
The food is AMAZING and i haven't seen quantities as LARGE as these ever - what we ordered for 2 can easily be devoured by FOUR OR FIVE people...
We ordered -
Veg Fe Wontons - Fried crispy wontons in a red gravy with lots of shredded veggies, absolutely delicious, but must be devoured immediately, you cannot doggie bag this one.
Burnt Chilly Fried Rice - all this recommended by my friend who is a regular here...one of the best fried rice i have ever eaten, with plenty of fried big red chillies (something like the tambram Mor Molagai which we have with curd rice) . This is so good you can have it all by itself. It is literally a mountain of rice - will need 5 hungry ppl to finish it all.
Mushrooms in Hunan Sauce - this was an OK dish, nothing out of the world as compared to the burnt chilly rice.
TO polish all of this - Death by Chocolate, soft decadent chocolate pastry, drizzled generously with chocolate sauce served with a scoop of dark chocolate icecream
All this for 600 bucks, with more than half parceled home for dinner...
If you haven't eaten here, you sure have missed something!
