Aromas is the best that has happened to Powai. You can come here for an early morning breakfast or a lazy brunch or an evening of gupshup with your buddies. This is my understanding of a chilled out place over-looking the not-so-bombay-like Powai. I have been here plenty of times with no complains whatsoever.
The Australian brand symbolizes youthfulness and class with equal ease. The decor is neat and spaced out. Not over-crowded nor isolated. They have 2 sections - outer and the inner ac area (preferable). Both are fun areas although the outer area gets mucky during rains. The service has always been good, however; the only glitch is that the staff disappears every now and then and returns only after 10-15min. But if you just plan to chill here, you really wont mind the staff disappearances :P
The food is great. My regulars are Loaded Nachos (my best nachos), Cheesy Garlic Bread, Spicy fries, Bruschettas and Chicken Lasagne. In salads you must try Chef's Salad. The hot and cold coffees are a treat and also a better option than the tea's on the menu. They keep changing dessert options every once in a while and they are displayed at the glass counter and also as leaflets on every table. The best I've had here are the Blueberry cheesecake and Banana-Caramel cake *drool*
Cost-wise it matches the brand. A brunch for 2 could be anywhere between Rs 400-500. Plus they carry the Citibank Credit card discount, so works perfect for me!
