Great food but no value for money 2012-04-20
Ok, I understand fine dining and gourmet food, but I do not understand why one simple appetizer and the cheapest house cocktail should set me back by Rs. 1100 plus taxes. The place is top-notch, hands down! The ambiance speaks for the opulence and for a regular Mumbaikar, it can be an intimidating affair. Nevertheless, Aurus is best described as a surreal reality, an aspirational restaurant, and for some food connoisseur s a gourmet delight.
Going through the cardboardish menu, we ordered a salmon/crab patty, feta and pumpkin wraps, along with a sangria, two beers and a rose wine. Althou... read more -

amazing, amazing, amazing 2012-03-19
talk about food, drinks, ambiance....i give them 5 stars on all counts!
this is my favorite place in town whether i want to go with my spouse or with friends who are visiting bombay.
their outdoor seating needs reservation, but it is well worth the effort you take to plan. -

beautiful seashore dining experience!! just two of you for a candle light dinner and colours of nature to fill the ambience, with good music in background and a good food, wht do u want more than this for a romantic date?? ;)
only i think the menu is very much limited, may be they can work on it thats the only suggestion..... -

Was here on a date, plus it was the 1st day of 19days of my birthday celebration.
As the title says amazing... although i dont remeber a thing except for the drinks there...
White Russian which was so outstanding and i couldnt find it made the same way anywhere else....
and the sambuca shots.... dont remember what we ordered for food but it was something in chicken.
nice ambiance and as we dropped there at the last moment on sat night got a place near the bar :(
but overall love it. -

Arrogant and Pricey 2011-11-05
If you wanna bump into 'wanna be' crowd, this is the place. It's a full house on Friday night that's banging with people with their nose up in the air. Though each one tries to be better than the other, the staff takes the cake by being the most arrogant than the most known guest in the club.
The food is alright, not value for money at all and service.... so bad that you'd rather not hear my comments. -

Went there Saturday 20/08/2011..table for two (indoor)..
Called them at 9:15 pm was arranged a table by the time I reached 9:40pm (Manager: RIZWAN)...
AMBIANCE was great as Aurus has very well done up interiors.
Restaurant was not too crowded, and music was not too loud either (soft lounge/house music).
The SERVICE was impeccable. Right from taking down my order, suggestions, checking up on me, and customizing the dish to my taste right upto execution was just perfect.

Expensive though Beautiful Interiors.. 2011-07-17
Went here yesterday ,Firstly finding this place on ones own ain't easy, simply cause they don't have a board outside .One needs to call up and ask where its located .
Here's my rating as per my opinion---
A] Interiors-Beautiful for sure it looks more like a fine dinning place ..But they need to put bar stools and not sofa like chairs there ..
B]"EXPENSIVE to the CORE" ..I mean Looking at the menu ,if u are a budget type of person Its expensive for "SURE"..
C] On a saturday night this place lacks good music as well as crowd ..
Wouldn't go here Again... -

A great place to hang out 2011-07-16
Going on Saturdays is very crowded, but a great place to hang out. Rub shoulders with who's who, enjoy the ambiance and the food. We go in groups and enjoy the beach view, the music is good. Pricey place. -

This is one of my favorite joints because of the food, the ambiance & the muzik. Now where to start - every friday night the place is in a different high..the drinks are slightly expensive but where isn't when you step out for clubbing....a decent mojito is priced @ approx 400 bucks and shot of 30ml jameson would cost around 350 (approx including taxes)
I just love the food here..the jumbo prawns & rosemary chicken are to die for...the meal is really delicious & filling...I don't like the deserts thought, as they screwed by new york cheese cake..but all in all you won't be disappointed... read more -

.... food less than average. The risotto and the gnocchi were compared to real Italian food and compared to other pub-restaurants in Mumbai really poor. I am from Europe (of Indian origin) and have visited many Mumbai restaurants which offer same food and must really say, that this has to be improved. Nice is the atmosphore and the long drink (Cuba libre) I had. Also the music was good, which actually attracts the different crowd of Mumbai. If the owner wants them to stay at Aurus, he should really offer value for money, otherwise I think it will be difficult to stay alive with this concept, since... read more -
