Good Kerala food in Oshiwara 2010-01-16
Tucked away in a lane on link road (after Mega Mall towards In Orbit) first right after crossing Mega Mall, this place did serve some good food.
Although I could not lay my hands on beef chilly fry which I had been craving for since ages (they only served beef fry not chilly fry), the other items - surmai fry, chicken fry, surprisigly excellent rasam, prawn curry in a tangy gravy with pieces of raw mango (mmmm.....mouthwatering!)... were way above expectations..

For all homesick mallus 2009-12-03
I chanced upon Backwater while going to KongPoush last week, and on a whim I changed my dinner destination from Kashmir to Kerala. And I wasn't disappointed. Backwater is a small restaurant but the interior is tastefully decorated and the dishes on offer are amazing. I had the naadan fish curry with boiled (red) rice and karimeen pollichathu on the side, and the taste reminded me of home. The fish curry was well-spiced with chillies and kudampuli, just as I hoped it would be.

Better food than kerala 2009-12-03
Amazing taste...... had prawn curry in mango gravy, absolutely delicious.... great appams.... had pomfret too.... really nice..... perfect blend of spices.... very polite staff.... the only drawback is mosquitoes... but food makes it worth the bites -
