Bonobo- a diet restaurant 2012-03-26
Bonobo at bandra link rd is a diet restaurant. So, all the girls out there, who are starving themselves to be zero size, can definitely visit Bonobo. Apparently, the restaurant thinks, we are sparrows and only peck at our food- what other valid reason to offer such miserable quantity? And after a point, it hurts your pocket too, so you stop ordering, even though you are hungry after shelling out 1,500 bucks. So, that will help your diet plans. Gig at Bonobo 2012-02-25
I was told initially that the gig was starting at Bonobo at 9 30. Upon reaching there at 10 and willing to pay Rs 300 to enter. I was told that only a couple entry would be allowed
Being an avid music fan, I do not expect this treatment from a club which expects an audience to come as a couple for a gig!!.
If this practice is to be followed, I am very certain that Bonobo will not be a location for future gigs.
I feel the Management should have atleast notified people of the change in rules. -

For Wobble nights, there is free entry for everyone till 10:00 pm, post-which we do have an entry charge. Any communication that has gone out from our end states the same. We apologize in case of any inconvenience and hope to see you at Bonobo again.

nice plc to hang out! nice drinks , good ambience ... food ? well thats the problem with this plc.. they dont have much on the menu... and most of what they make is bland... nice staff so i still rate them - 3/5 -

Not too good, but not too bad either 2011-12-04
The eight of us went to Bonobo with high hopes of spending a great chilled out evening. Despite having to wait outside for half an hour for a private party to wrap up, we entered into a good, ambient setting and Mumbai winter permitted for a good open air seating option.
What we liked: The drinks (The bar menu is pretty extensive. Although the drinks are slightly heavy on the pockets, they do not disappoint :) ), the music (chilled out and relaxed) and service (we had a helpful server)

Not bad at all 2011-09-04
Great music and selection of cocktails, and the food isn't half bad either. Definitely worth a second visit. Do try out their tandoori chicken, I thought it was fantastic...at least I think it was called tandoori chicken, the music was too damn loud for me to hear what the waiter called it. -

A visit last night & Complete waste of Sunday. Absolutely empty with just a table or two filled. Wrong definitions of drinks mentioned in cocktail section, with barely any of the written flavors available. They are least bothered about quality of music when place is empty. Continental food is bad, no taste in pasta & wearied Lasagna.... No way I am visiting this place again. -

Ambience, drinks and music... 2011-02-14
Bonobo is a pretty place on a rooftop... the ambience is very attractive.. though I feel the lighting could have gone a bit darker.
The music is really good especially on weekends - it's a mix of house, lounge and electronica. It sets the mood just right.
The bar is really good... pretty much all their cocktails are nice. Try their chocolate martini, it's something to die for!
The food is decent overall... try their lasagna..it's yumm! But it's overpriced.
Overall I would say it's a slightly overpriced place but you can go and enjoy with a bunch of -

Welcome to the jungle! 2010-12-28
Spacing: Perfect, it's open-air so it is pretty spacey
Ambience: Lovely, woody, mysterious (great for a date - blind/regular - it doesn't matter! Lol).
Food: Pretty okay but expensive
Drinks: Awesome. Love the Bloody Marys here.
Pricing: a Little Expensive
VERDICT: Great place for drinks, more than anything else. Relax, lie back and chill for you're in the jungle now! -

Go there for the music 2010-12-07
The one and only reason I would visit Bonobo over and over, is the kind of music they play -trip hop, house, electronica, chillout, ambient etc. Cafe Buddha Bar lovers will REVEL here.
The predominantly North Eastern waitstaff are a decent and polite bunch who wont' gawk at foreigners and females. Food portions are ok but I guess rather expected from a contemporary cuisine menu.
I salute Bonobo for standing their ground and playing the music they do instead of catering to the hip hop loving corporates. I'd love to set a music play list here on a Saturday Night and prove to some ignorant... read more -
