Good ambiance, good location 2011-07-23
Just stepped out of the Bru World and am writing this review from my Blackberry.
We had ordered a Cappuccino and an Irish Coffee. Wifey liked her Cappuccino. My Irish Coffee was way too sweet much like a Roohafza sherbet. They need to go easy on the syrup.
Their location is perfect - just around the Juhu beach.
Just pick up coffee and go for a stroll at the beach. -

A better coffee experience 2011-05-14
I visited this one right after the malad outlet. This was more crowded due to the prime location. We were 4 ppl and there were separetely located tables for two available. The staff immediately offered to join tables for us. This happened within the first 30 seconds of entering. Since I had had the Mocha cold coffee before, I recommended it to my friends and opted for the Classic cold cofee with Hazelnut syrup add-on. (The coffe was good but I din taste no hazelnut syrup). Poor brew by Bru 2011-04-11
Coffee is just average. Does not justify the price being charged. CCD &/ Barista is a better option. The same avg fare is in the food too - no real taste.
They need to bump up the taste factor in the menu - seems like a poor cousin of the incumbents. -

Nice and Cozy! 2011-03-17
Had been to this place a few days ago. The ambience is really cozy and spacious. There are all kinds of seating arrangements here, from normal table and chairs to couches to bar stools at their counter. There is also a TV in case you are interested. They also keep newspapers which I find to be good.
The menu seems pretty good too. Has a lot of variety from the traditional coffees to the International ones. The sandwiches, pastries, biscuits that go with the coffees also have good variety and are reasonably priced.

Okay you serve me water unlike other coffee shops. 2011-03-10
But what's the deal about wanting to clear my table as soon as the froth on the cappuccino settles?
Been there 5 times now, and generally its never packed to capacity--so like every half-decent coffee shop, I've dawdled about after my order has finished and places like Gloria Jean let you sit there for HOURS if you've even ordered one biscuit. That's what a coffee shop is supposed to be.
A place to relax, and have lengthy conversations, and in case its filling up, every half educated patron knows that if there's no order, its courtesy to vacate your table for fresh customers.

Very Impressive! 2011-03-09
Bru cafe is colorful and has a certain old charm to it.
they play world music from drumbs and tambourines to jazz and soulful ballads.
its well lit and fairly spacious.
they have an array of choices for coffee lovers- exotic ones as well as the regular ones.they are well made.
in fact the pastries are really amazing.worth a try...
damages- regular mocha and capucinno priced at Rs 70. -
