Doent live up to the hype! 2012-04-20
What's All the Hype about??? Not much apparently, as I found out.
Cozy+ Slow Service+ Average Food+ Yummy Mixed Berry Slush= Basilico
I probably am the one of the very few and Very late Foodies to try out Basilico, but my anticipation died once i tried out some of the food there. The ambience is lovely, especially the Sofas- you can just sink into them (or probably sleep, like i wanted too after eating sooo much). Though there was an extremely noisy young group which ruined the lovely atmosphere for me a little.

well this place has some good food..and there is no denying that..but the service leaves much to be desired...the new york cheesecake is mindblowing..out of the world stuff...the pastas and rissotos are a must try too....better to come here during non peak hours for good service... -

Good Place, limited selection for a hungry patron 2012-03-16
Basilico comes across as a expensive fine dine when looked from the outside, though it is more humbling when you open the saloon doors and take a look at the inside.
Food selection for the cuisine advertised is quite limited ( they have fusion food on their menu) and since I did not want to experiment with fusion food, we choose the standard italian pasta and continental selections. Since I was on my way to work that night we ordered spaghetti pasta with mice lamb, brie grilled/fried chicken and a green salad. Food was nice, pasta cooked well and the mince tasty.
