Doent live up to the hype! 2012-04-20
What's All the Hype about??? Not much apparently, as I found out.
Cozy+ Slow Service+ Average Food+ Yummy Mixed Berry Slush= Basilico
I probably am the one of the very few and Very late Foodies to try out Basilico, but my anticipation died once i tried out some of the food there. The ambience is lovely, especially the Sofas- you can just sink into them (or probably sleep, like i wanted too after eating sooo much). Though there was an extremely noisy young group which ruined the lovely atmosphere for me a little.

well this place has some good food..and there is no denying that..but the service leaves much to be desired...the new york cheesecake is mindblowing..out of the world stuff...the pastas and rissotos are a must try too....better to come here during non peak hours for good service... -

Good Place, limited selection for a hungry patron 2012-03-16
Basilico comes across as a expensive fine dine when looked from the outside, though it is more humbling when you open the saloon doors and take a look at the inside.
Food selection for the cuisine advertised is quite limited ( they have fusion food on their menu) and since I did not want to experiment with fusion food, we choose the standard italian pasta and continental selections. Since I was on my way to work that night we ordered spaghetti pasta with mice lamb, brie grilled/fried chicken and a green salad. Food was nice, pasta cooked well and the mince tasty. Indeed the best italian eatery 2012-03-09
i went there with my friend on a sunday afternoon expecting a waiting time but to my luck he had got in earlier and a table. the restaurant was full but not so noisy. We ordered a few mocktails which were nice and then the chicken starter which was very good. My friend had a beef steak and i a chicken steak and it was well made according to our choices with a nice mushroom sauce. It was adequate and we ended with the blueberry cheese cake was one of the best i have ever eaten. Wake Up n Serve! 2012-02-22
As always, the servers/stewards/waiters are so busy in gossip that taking or delivering an order is beneath their dignity and they make it a point to show that its a favour done! Food is above average. Prices are extremely high not justifying the portions or overall experience.
OVERALL : visit if you are out of meal hours and so famished that fainting inevitable! -

We had visited Basilico for some munching.....but dint find anything suitable to our interest and ended up ordering an apple ice tea with cranberry cheesecake...
The best part about Basilico is I have always loved their cheescakes......not forgetting to mention they are definitely overpriced...
All in all.....Basilico is overpriced ...... for the quantity they serve..... but the indulgence in their cheesecakes is blissful!! -

Not really that great. Food is okay. Beef burger is extremely dry and has horrible flavour. Ambience too is decent. But not worth the price. -

Over rated 2011-12-29
I came in alone for a quick meal. Though it was just 7.30, it took a while for anyone to take my order - a group of waiters were just chatting with each other, not bothering to attend to customers. The food was indifferent and poor value. The staff seme unable to tell the difference between some of the items on the menu. -

Crap food and understaffed service 2011-12-01
When you see ridiculous prices, you say, mmm food must be really good right? WRONG! Rs. 250 for a dried out slice of margherita - not even a slice it was a slice-ita! pasta was soggy and saucy - bruschetta was basically toast - yeah like the one sitting in bottles at tea shops - not even freshly made! with stuff sprinkled on it that had nothing to do with fresh mediterranean food. why is it that nobody can pronounce it right (BrusKetta being the right way) either? aren't the waiters trained in such a ridiculously expensive place?
