they r warm and courteous 2010-11-23
grt place for iranian grub.. u might only wonder what it takes to generate such a taste only when u get ur cheque.... but yes its calm serene gives a very ethnic/woody feeling whn ur ther.. overall fantastic food and good people.. -

Full marks for taste! 2010-11-18
I have been going to this Irani style cafe for god knows how long.If ur lookin for one reason to go here its gotta be the veg cutlet wid gravy.By far the yummiest cutlet u could expect to sink ur teeth into..The chicken biryani is another favourite of mine and even though the portion is small its taste is satisfying .The prices are more than you would expect from a place that looks like this but then again its completely worth it...Do check it out if u happen to be in this area -

Excellentsior!!! 2008-04-17
4 o'clock in the evening - 1 coffee since morning - 3 lengthy meetings - was my equation today. Famished..as i was, I wondered what I could possibly eat to keep myself going. Cafe Excelsior was one place I always wanted to field-test but I never made a conscious effort to explore what (now i feel) i was missing.
From an old weigh instrument that is kept at the entrance to the water filled ash trays and bold signage stating 'WASH BASIN - only for customers' I found all the typical elements of an old Mumbai cafe. They even switch the fan off if a table is empty :-)
