On 7th Jan 2012 Saturday went to Cafe Moshe after more than 3.5yrs and realize they haven't changed at all including the interior, quality of food and humbleness of the staff.
As we entered the cafe at 6:40pm we have been told that cafe is closing today at 7.00pm due to some pest control that has been planned for today. I got confused as they are having pest control on Saturday evening anyhow on our request they told us that they will serve us.
So we ordered Humus with Focaccia bread though we want pita bread but they were out of stock for the same so we end up having Focaccia bread with

  • horrible policy and customer service 2011-09-06

if you want to encounter rude nonchalant staff - this is the place to go. i ordered a hummus take away today and there was no lavash given with it. when i asked them, they said that they do not give lavash in takeaway, and i will have to buy separately. When i point out that it clearly says in the menu 'served with lavash', y is takeaway different, their reply 'it is the policy, if you have a complaint, please mail' - nobody to attend to any complaint.. and they charge the same price for eat in or take away!!

  • Service and Food Issues 2011-06-27

I would probably take my enemy here next time.

    Food 2/5
    Service 2/5
    Ambiance 3/5

Definitely not worth visiting again, unless you want to waste your money and time,
services highly unacceptable and slow, food quantity and taste quite ok.

  • Menu issues 2011-05-26

I went to this place in the early evening to have a small snack with coffee. I ordered the Olive Tapenade, which was good, as expected.
When I asked for the bill I was given a bill of almost double the cost of the food I had ordered. The person waiting at my table did not clarify it upfront and when I questioned him about the amount in the bill he just said that the prices have been increased, in a very offhand manner. This is quite pathetic guys. You run a cafe in one of the most upscale places in town and you can't even update your menu in time?
They don't mention this raaise in price

  • A terrible lunch hour option 2010-09-01

It's really surprising that a cafe situated right in the heart of the city's financial/commercial district has such slow service!
I've generally liked this cafe, more for the bakery products, quaint ambiance and convenient location than for the food itself. And till today, the food wasn't bad. Today's "lunch" there changed my perception. Like most office goers, I have a 1-hour lunch break which can be stretched to a max of 1 hour 15 minutes. I got there in time for a 45 minute lunch, which is generally more than enough at other delis and cafes. I asked for a pasta after asked the server if

  • Good sandwich pestro 2009-12-07

A pleasant stop in Fort for sandwiches or light pasta. We had the chicken salad and tuna sandwiches, which both were made well. We also ordered their veggie/chicken pasta for the kids. Great pasta with a flavorful cream sauce. As I hear madonna had rated their dessarts #1 it was a bit disappointing that they did not have all their dessarts available. The specials were listed in a spot unseen and waiter did not mention (chikcen kababs which would have been a treat). Other then that a #1 spot while shopping in fab or the fort area for a shopping spree lunch.

  • Nice Cafe 2009-07-17

Its a good place tog o if you want some quiet time away from the noise and hustle bustle since its usually pretty empty. Except it shuts early by around 8ish since Fab India shuts by then.

Food: Had the hummus and an oven rasted sandwich with tomato pate. The sandwich was a bit spicy surprisingly and looked like they had used food coloring but decent. My friend usually hates "exotic" food but loved the hummus for a change. The menu seemed very interesting with a variety of eggless desserts as well.

Drinks: Ordered a vanilla milk shake and lemon grass drink. Loved the lemongras

  • shoddy service 2009-06-01

The first thing that hits you when you enter this place is the nice ambience- illuminated by what is perhaps fabindia merchandise, it looks and feels quite cozy. The fact that they had a fan in addition to the AC made sitting here during the afternoon heat a bliss.
However thats where the good points end. The sandwiches were just about OK. And the service was actually horrible- the nadir was reached when the bearer dropped the sandwich on us and didnt even bother to say sorry or replace it !

  • all that you expect 2008-09-22

Exuberance of warmth is the foremost step that any self-defined ‘coffee-shop’ should attempt at providing, for it is this very quality in conjunction with the coziness, the soft-lighting, the informality, the laid back attitude, and the minimalist seating décor, which define the cluster of thoughts that our mind conjures whenever we think of a ‘coffee-shop’. Moreover, every image of a ‘coffee-shop’ is complete only with a steaming coffee cup atop the table, and a person’s mind entangled in a book whilst sipping the hot cuppa.

Essentially, ticking all these dreamy thoughts, chef Moshe

  • Nice food *yawn* 2007-10-09

This is a rather charming cafe (especially the outdoor area) that will do nicely for a leisurely catch-up with old friends over a tasty, somewhat unimaginative, menu. There's a sense that they could go a lot further than hummous but don't, in order to cater to the common denominator. The service is sub-par but that's been established by pretty much every review of the place, which makes you wonder whether the management give a damn. Don't expect to be blown away, but if you're hungry and in the neighbourhood, stop by for some decent grub.
