I finally went to this place by pure chance (as I came to Crossword for book-browsing) and also, after hearing a lot about it - decided to stop by. Me and my friend were super-hungry and we keep flitting between items as to figure out what to have.. Finally, we ordered the Grilled Jalapeno Chicken with sun-dried tomatoes and harissa sauce in an onion focaccia (that's an Italian bread flavoured with herbs and onions) & my friend had some average sandwich that I don't even remember! Have a quick, yet delicious bite here 2008-09-04
Dropped into this place last Saturday afternoon with a few friends. The thing that i liked most about this place was the cozy feel to it, quite possibly because it is tucked away in one small quaint little upstairs corner inside a huge book-store.
The staff was very friendly, we kept nagging them every 5 minutes to give us our table during our wait time but they just smiled and told us to be patient.

cafe moshe wasnt too bad to begin with but once the menu changed it got better.
though i dont think the hummus is all that great they hve some fantastic crostini options as well as a nice bake.
the dessert selection is pretty good too but the menu is wildly different from the signature Moshe Shek restaurant.
all in all everytime im at Crossword i stop by ! -

fave quiet hangout 2007-01-12
When I am in the mood to settle down with a great book over a tasty dessert and shot of espresso or cup of coffee, I retreat upstairs in Crosswords in Kemps Corner to this cafe run by the Moshe's people(which people have raved about on burrp). Although you might get a few youngsters sprinkled in throughout the day, this remains a true best for coffee, pastries or light lunch, in the comfort of a great bookstore! -
