on a very rainy day... ended up at caf oregano for lunch . the staff pointed out that we were almost at closing orders stage ...but we insisted n started our meal .it was supposed to be a kebabs + biriyani buffet . we were told that just 2-3 varieties of starters were available at that time.. since it was pretty late for lunch .
first came our chicken tikka starters ..which was amazing...really nice big chicken tikkas and made to perfection .
next was the veg aloo tikki ...which was decent...nothing special .
then came the mutton tikkas...which in my opinion..were AMAZING . very very soft n tender n cooked well . a lil oily...but still whats a lil bit of oil going to do when u have mentally made up ur mind to attack the mutton tikkas
the main course was ok ok ...a lil disappointing...
the fish manchurian was nice ...and so was the chicken gravy ...
nice rice + naan platters
but the veg options were sad .
The fact that we were late was to be blamed for not getting the best of food from this venue. but i dont blame them at all
the service was really nice...
oh ya...and by the time the bill came....we then realised that there was biriyani too (stupid us )
desserts were pretty ok
moral of story
1) be on time
2) ask waiters for full buffet menu
3) go there with an empty stomach
the lunch buffet was almost INr 405 / - incl taxes which was pretty value for money .
i could almost feel like i had missed a great spread for being late ...but its on my radar now for another visit
