Im not just writing about this place coz its owned by my elder brothers friend but also because i have been going to this place for over a decade!! it all started in a tiny space near thane station and has now grown leaps and bounds....
Dont enter this place expecting a 3 star ambience, it caters everyones pocket and pallate by serving authentic indian chinese and some tandoor dishes.... The tandoori chicken is worth a million bucks but costs only 70rs(half) and 120rs(full). The typical chinese dishes like chicken chilly dry (55rs) & Manchow soup (rs40) are filling and delicious. The menu card screams innovation as you read through it.
Must try :
1. homemade shezwan sauce
2. Cantonese special rice/noodle (comes with a dry gravy on top of the rice/noodle... simply yummy)
3. combination noodle/rice
4. chicken tandoori served with refreshing mint chutney
5. chicken sixty five (good stuff)
6. special prawns dishes
7.Manchow soup
Remember to:
1. Ask for cold water/softdrink.... sometimes a warm drink lands up on ur table! not done!
2. Mention that you wouldnt like your food salty (sometimes the food IS salty but if u bring it to the waiters notice he will promptly replace your food, which you should coz its not worth missing)
Positives:
1.Near to thane station making it easy to pick up a parcel or eat and run somewhere
2. Low on cost therefore makes a great budget joint
3. Vast menu so u dont have to stick to the usuals
4. Friendly staff, thankfully they are clean and wear a uniform/dress, also they are well informed and most importantly polite.
Negatives:
1.Loud radio (can request to turn it down)
2. food can be salty sometimes (or maybe i think so coz i eat really less salt)
3. The place could do with a good scrub
Usually for 2 people with a soup, rice/noodle and a gravy/dry the bill comes upto 200-250rs.
They also deliver at home for no extra cost.
All in all a great budget place for real indian chinese where you are served with a smile :)
