  • Excellent Food, Quantity needs to improve... May 05, 2013

    Visited this place recently and it was the first time i had been here... I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food having not expected too much... everything that we ordered from starters to main course was yummy... the service was also very good and things came pretty fast from when we ordered... on the downside, the quantity of dishes was very less and we had to order additional dishes to make up for the quantity... the price also was on the higher side... the food however made up for the quantity... suggestions - please improve the quantity of food you serve...

    Been here 3 days ago...on a weekday. While we were settling down - the Captain informed us whether we would want us to try out their Buffet as we were 4 girls...& we cud pay for 3. Well wise choice it was - unlimited starters. The fish tikka was excellently flavoured & fresh. All the Kebabs were very good & fresh. Had an over-wholesome lunch. Desserts had a decent spread. The Caramel Custard was awesome.
    Good service - good choices suggested by the Captain.

    Welcome and refreshing change to see a reputed restaurant like Caravan Serai, Red Ant & Red Box opening in the MIDC area which was predominately fan base of Tunga hotels.

    However ,overall the interiors and comfort low seating is excellent. Dim lit ambiance and bit noisy. The staff is very friendly and takes good care of the guests. Valet car parking available.

    We ordered the Non Veg Platter (small) and the quantity was filling. The quality was as per our expectations, so we kinda liked most of the kebabs placed in it. It was accompanied by chilled beer.

    There comes one of those days where chickenlover has to go a restaurant and eat VEG food :( The other day I went to Caravan Serai with my family to celebrate my Dad's birthday, And as soon as you walk into the restaurant you fall in love with the ambience of this place.The day we had went the whole place was empty and very silent and peaceful. So since I was going there for the first time I had huge expectations with the food. But I am sorry to say each and everything I had that day was a complete disappointment.
