Hie guys & girls,
After a long time..Probably after a year we thought of going to C2V..Since we have had good experience with the restaurant (a year back).
C2V has finally started its cafe. So I thought of celebrating the friendship day with my better half in C2V cafe , in evening
The cafe is a open air cafe, just opposite to their ice cream parlor outside. Open from 9am to 11pm but on fri, sat & sun 9am to 7pm ( since this is the waiting area for the guests who come in for the restaurant)
PLACE:
Place is not big. Only five table with three chairs on each.
Lots of place is spoiled by creating mud slab to keep pots for decoration..even that is not looking that gr8..instead this place they could have used to add couple of more table.
The AMBIENCE is the most pathetic ambience I have ever been to, coz the ambience is more of a roadside tea stall than a cafe of a good hotel ( since they claim to have 3 star hotel later)
The cafe has a hanuman temple just attached to it outside on footpath. This cafe been on the junction of two roads on other side it has a BEST bus stop.
One gets to hear various noises from outside & inside.
(1) A continuous hanuman chalisa played in the temple outside..& no of people visiting & looking inside.
(2) Noise from traffic of both the road (since this is a junction)
(3) Noise of the bus halting at the bus stop & people standing & waiting for the bus just peeps in the cafe..very bad.
(4) The cafe has its own LCD . On this LCD they only play..about their ice cream parlor..they show how they blend various ice creams & etc..(like hokey pokey)
So one has to hear all this..
The Ambience really sucks..
They could have made a closed cafe instead...My recommendation..they can still have noise proof glass outside to avoid external noises.
No Music (except for the one playing on LCD..). Well even if they play one..nobody will be able to hear the same due to external noises.
Enough light for the place..but cud have been better.
Ambience: 1/5
FOOD:
Coffee's for Rs 100- each
Pastries for Rs 60/- each
Sandwiches range from Rs 75/ (for veg sandwich)- to Rs 160/- (Double Decker Veg club sandwich)
We ordered for a Double Decker Veg club sandwich & Chocolate delight pastry ( as this one was the only eggless pastry)
The pastry was fine..like any other pastry one will get in Hangout etc
The Double Decker veg sandwich was nice but could have been better. They could have made even crispier. They also served potato wafer with it , which was soggy. Then we mentioned about this soggy wafers so this was replaced with nice crispy French fries. .. ONE STAR given above is only for this.
Well did not try the coffee?s so not sure how well the coffee?s are made & served here.
So for food (2.5/5)
The total bill was Rs 202.50 for two of us (incl of taxes). Surprisingly they charged only Rs 43.27 for the pastry & Rs 140 for the sandwich , we are not sure why?..and we didn?t even bother to ask.
Staff & Service:
Only one menu card was rotating on all tables. Initially only one person was serving at all tables. Infact we had to hunt for the person to get the menu card & to place our order. We got only one glass of water to drink between both of us..not sure why? Even for getting the second glass of water we had to hunt for the waiter. After asking for the second glass of water, the water was served., but just 5 min before we were to leave. By that time I & my better half were happy sharing a glass of water & still smiling at each other..since we had something to write on Burrp ;-)
So over all for the Staff & service (1/5). This one only for the server who got us French fries & requested to have it & felt very sorry for the soggy wafers served.
Well..I?ll not recommend anybody to visit the C2V café, as they do not know how to run a cafe & our Friendship day evening was spoiled.
Thanks for reading this
Mickey again ;-)
