Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
We headed out to Atria Mall to Don Giovanni for an Italian fiesta last sunday evening later to realize this outlet has been shut. So copper chimney came as an alternate just to save on further travel time. The place was decently crowded with not much waiting time. Managed to get into a sofa set-up at the corner. Liked the seating as it separated us from the noisy crowd. It took 2 reminders for the server for water. Looking at the fellow reviews, I echo the serious complaint of waiters' lax serving. "Dish" dishum: Roomali was under roasted. Lachcha Paratha was the respite. Dal was... read more
Have been to his restaurant a number of times. What I always end up eating is the Murg Musallam. It is chicken, minced lamb, mushrooms served on a bed of rice. Totally yummy! And they serve roomali rotis (you can see them making those too).
I also liked the chicken achari kabab. Succulent, tangy. Tickles the taste buds. This time, we tried the Dum Biryani. The aroma of the biryani! Mouthwatering! And it tasted as good as it looked. We tried the veg biryani too - which was great! And some paneer gravy dish (don't remember which - was more interested in the chicken) - which was decent. ... read more
I have been to various restaurants over the years but only realized the true meaning of "Fine Dining" after I visited Copper chimney at Worli. The ambience scores a perfect ten (or 5 stars in this review). The service although slow was very courteous and helpful. The food was excellent except for the Roomali Rotis which were not soft enough. The prices were actually lower than I expected! This is a restaurant where you don't just walk in without booking a table. So there is no question of waiting. Unlike other restaurants which despite accepting bookings/reservations don't actually reserve... read more
There are three most important elements for an eatery to please people....Food, Service and Ambiance. This place wins hands down as far as food is concerned....but their service is so poor that it leaves no stone upturned in spoiling the fun. The haughty arrogant waiters don't care about the way they serve food on your table or how long they are just chatting ignoring your calls for menu/ order! The ambiance is average...nothing extra ordinary or eye catching. The place was buzzing with people and so there was a lot of noise and chattering....so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, then this... read more
For those who are looking forward for the punjabi food festival - vegetarians - forget about it, bare nay options. The regular menu is way better...nothing as "punjab" special added to it. And along with the bad menu the poor service still continues... after my first experience i decided not to go again, but stil thought let me give one more try - the second trial made me sure - NEVER STEP IN AGAIN!!
landed up for dinner after a good comedy stand up and hence we had patience to accept such sucking service...the effect of good laugh buster helped us to live through it... no doubt the food was good but rest everything was crab... the onion seemed to be at least 3 days old..shabbily cut..not washed...even they didn't have proper dish to serve in...i had the Veg Briyani..i must say it was finger licking good...rest of group ordered for variety of non-veg and everybody appreciated it... so all iu have to say for anyone who wanna step in...please good with a prepared mind of bad-slow-lazy-drowsy-suck... read more
I am a regular customer of copper chimney.. and a fan of their afghani chicken n achari tikka. I do more takeouts than eat-ins though. As for the buffet, i tend to skip most veggie stuff and concentrate on non-veg .. Service is decent and the food is usually quite good.
I regularly visit copper chimney for dinners. I had a heard a lot about its buffet and gave it a try this sunday. The buffet spread was very limited, with only one chicken starters, i could have been paying 700 per person any where else and getting much better food. The chaat was awful, and the biryani tasteless. Copper chimney food which usually very very good, lacked presentation, taste and variety. The service was exceptionally bad, and as we having our buffet, and we had not even finished, the steward came with the check. They were clearing our table without permission. I have been to a lot... read more
have been visiting Copper for over the last 15 years. My last visit in May 2011 was very disappointing. The quality of the food has dropped!!. I am a veggie with a standard order at Copper.
Hope the management is listening. As "the owners also eat here".
