Overall a good experience 2012-05-19
There is no valet but if u find a parking infront of the hotel then the doorman will keep an eye. The place has a very basic ambiance - looks like some muglai food place from 20 years ago. We found a seating on a Saturday noon without waiting.
We ordered a non veg platter which was very good. Also they brought it out in no time. We ordered for chicken angarey which was butter chicken with cashew paste flavouring. The food was good.

Pathetic Obnoxious Table Policy 2012-05-18
This review isn't about the food, because the restaurant didn't offer me a table when there we plenty of them available. Reason? We wanted a table for 7, but only 3 of us had walked in first. The guy at the door asked us to wait outside till the others joined us, even though i spotted some 8-10 free tables.
So far so bad. I could understand why they wouldn't want a big table to get blocked up till all of us arrived. So i offered to take a table for 3 and order starters immediately, and then shift to a bigger one when the others arrived (who, I told the obnoxious door captain, were in... read more -

A meat lover's heaven! 2012-05-07
So it was Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings this past weekend at Wankhede Churchgate and this was a last minute option to go in for good dinner after a few drinks at the Sports Bar Cafe next to Regal Cinema.
Ambiance:
A wait of 30 minutes and I was telling myself that the food better justify that wait period. We were 7 people and we got a table for 6. No place for an extra chair in the gangway, which is just about 2 feet wide. The place smelled kinda weird to me. it was like stale milky rubbery smell. Just weird. Lighting was just about OK.

This used to be a pretty famous restaurant in South Mumbai, but now is just another Mughlai cuisine restaurant. Nothing exclusive about it anymore. The spread is lavish and the menu will surely tempt you but once it arrives, theres going to just one place and you know which :D The chicken samosas are great and so are the kebabs. We had chicken patiala for the main course and told the waiter to make it spicy but what arrived was something else entirely!
