They should shut the place down immediately. The very fact that i joined burrp specially to let ppl know abt my Dhuan experience shows how shitty the place is.
The waiter told us that they din't serve regular water and gave us mineral water instead although we specifically asked for regular water. Later we were charged 54 bucks for mineral water. What nonsense. we never even opened the bottle but had to pay. we returned the bottle unused.
When the bill came, charges were significantly higher than what was mentioned in the menu. On probing we were told that the charges for first floor... read more -

Can give it a miss 2011-06-27
Having been to dhuan a few times, i can only say that the quality is going from bad to worse. Earlier they used to serve food and hookah both on the 1st floor (which is STOPPED now, only hookah is served on that floor. NOTHING ELSE.. not even soft drinks.. so the 'non-hookah having guys' have to just stare at their friends having hookah) the hookah served was decent but their FAMOUS biryani was tasteless and we had to as them to make it proper again.

Bad Choice! 2011-03-18
16th Mar Wed, 11 -- A place which I hope shuts down soon. I am not sure what I was thinking when I picked this place. Despite repeated request to turn down the music it wasnt done so, and they were playing trance. Their hookah was very highly priced, food was ok. It seemed more like a place for rowdy guys. -

BIryani Bomb 2011-02-06
I read on one of the buses that there's a place that offers Biryani for delivery so decided to call for it yesterday, the rates these guys charge are a bomb and to cover it up they give you a membership to their club which i heard is worse than a joint plus something else and the list goes on, which kept me guessing as to their actual biryani price and the real cost of it therefore I dropped the idea and got it done from my local place, sorry Dhuan but had your price been good you surely had a guest if not for Dhuan membership but surely for the Biryani you had on offer...... -

Dear sir / madam thanks for your review , as you yourself admitted that you have heard about dhuan I humbly request to visit us once and only on first hand experience post you reviews.yes I agree the rates of earthen pot biryani is on little higher side compare to other vendors but that is so because we do not compromise on the quality of food . we dont use dead chicken, third quality oil,rotten vegetables,unhygenic kitchen, and the list will go on......................if so we could have also charged half the price.we believe in long term relations our clients are not gullible to call us gain...read moreReplied by: rauf_fe, on Jun 03, 2011 Flag this
Your response is not in good taste, especially your last line "I sympathise for all the people who are not financialy capable for enjoying our food". if you do think you charge a bomb for your food, then why do you compensate for it with a 1000 INR membership. I don't want to sound as rude as you but I would really like to tell you to have a look at the response you have typed and to be honest I was really in the mood to try your biryani over the next weekend but I guess ........

I wud ask fellow burrpers to stay away from this place unless ur dying to have a hookah in the middle of the night in Versova area.Even then be prepared to pay through your nose since they charge over 700 bucks per hookah.The management sucks big time since it seems like all they are after is your money without providing any quality in either their food or services.The food is way below average.The Dhuan special chai is probably the worst tea anyone could possible have even though they charge around 75 bucks for it.I cudnt go beyond just a few sips.AVOID at all costs!!! -

Worse, Worst ,worsening.... recheck your bills 2011-01-11
3 Bad experiences- 1 time was charged due to late night thing 2nd time I found small pcs of plastic glass in my cold coffee(10th April) 3rd time yesterday(11th Jan 2011)- at 12.05 am place was empty, but we couldn't sit upstairs near the window due to members reservation ( why would someone be member of such a horrible restaurant), we ordered for 1 bottle of water,3 sheeshas & 1 coffee & guess what? cold coffee which was served was Hot ;)))))) in cold coffee glass n then I was told due to late night charges 12:15pm after 12:00( No 15mins grace /customer service) we charge INR 750 per sheesha ,... read more -

i went to dhuan's tonite. let me tell u guys this is worst place to be. ambeince is good. but management is the worst. it was my friend's birthday inspite of spending rs 4900/- on foods and sheeshas we were insulted by management for no reason, they have overly priced menu for night after 12. they dont have decency to talk. waiter se le kar managers keep bugging for tips & money. not even 5 mins we were left alone. they constantly bugged us to order inspite of our food on table manager told us to have food quickly and order more or to leave the premises as he said he was not ready to wait. all... read more -

At first i thought the mobile no. was taken for security purpose but then a few days down realised that it is all part of a cheap marketing technique......anyways the place lives up to its name as the only thing aplenty there is DHUAN!!! -

This place is a big disappointment the only thing good is their food and shakes which is also heavily overpriced....Their hookas are pathetic & pricing is worse...It seems to be more of a money making racket than a restaurant...You cant sit peacefully without the hooka being bad or service pathetic....In my view its ok for the food otherwise not worth it. -

They take your mobile number!!! 2010-11-12
They take your mobile number showing you a shady print out. Post that they keep on sending you promotional messages. I specifically asked, when i gave the number, whether it is for sending messages. The manager vehemently denied it. I have registered for DND, but still i get these messages. I think everyone should complain against them with the respective service provider and get them fined. -
