Truly Disappointed 2012-04-09
A restaurant with beautiful Italian decor going wrong.
Positives- Location, Ambiance (indoor, outdoor and lounge sitting), local Italian music.
Negatives- Bland food, restaurant totally can't handle huge crowds or group guests, only few nicely trained waiters out of which only half are courteous enough, rest are rude.. " THEIR COMPLIMENTARY BREADS TASTE THE BEST "..
The ambiance in the restaurant is really soft and soothing, but the staff makes you cautioned and tensed even before you order something by telling your pizza will take 20 mins pasta will take 20mins breads... read more -

A huge huge disappointment … 2012-04-08
We waited around 4 years to visit Don Giovanni as someone had told us that kids are not allowed there… and we never go anywhere without our 4-year old who LOVES Italian food and can give any Italian cook a lecture on good meat sauce and pastas! We landed there on Thu evening at 8:30pm and we were the only ones there. This has one of the best décor that we have seen in any stand-alone Italian restaurant in Mumbai … huge space, very very well set up with the perfect ambience !! Worst Italian food! Went for a kitty party on 21.3.12 and were a group at 8, and has horrible experience. In all departments ....from service to food , only thing which was good was coke! Food was cold, salads were warm, lettuce in salads were not fresh, pizzas had no taste and the pizzas were served after an hour after order. Pastas were inedible. We left the place after only 1 order. Will never come to this place ever again. Worst Italian food ever. -

Giovanni Federico walked past every table, chatting with some guests while exchanging smiles with others. He was the master chef responsible for the Little Italy chain and Ai Trulli at Kemps Corner. He then opened his own chain of Italian ristorante Don Giovanni. Though the Worli branch didn't quite click, the Juhu one was popular. It shut down for a while and re-opened near Hotel Kings International in October 2009. His affable nature sure rubbed off on his staff; the service was friendly and attentive throughout.
