East: A hidden Gem 2011-09-08
I have been a regular to East since the past 2 years, and I have to say, its a value for money restaurant. The mochi chicken is very succulent and tender. Even the deserts are very good, people must try the apple pie. The interiors are not the best, but if your looking for a good meal at a decent price, this is the place to be. The owner is always present and he gives each and every table his attention. Makes a difference in the hospitality sector. so if your in and around the kemps corner area, do visit EAST. -

East is one of those restaurants where you wont find the typical chilly chicken and machurian dishes! lets get to the tasty part...
-The mochi chicken out here is to die for, mochi is a kind of sauce for those who dont know.
-The Viatnamese Hot Garlic Chicken is an amazing dish which is a must try
-For the foodies keen on the spicier side, try the szehwan wontons(steamed.. fried is completely indian-ized and disgusting)

Yummy as usual.... 2011-03-10
I keep going back to this neighborhood restaurant and each time it just amazes me with the choice of dishes, the quality of ingredients and the simplicity of food on offer. I recently ate at KOH and didn think the food was nearly as good as the food served at East. Specially the Lamb Massaman Curry. Look forward to my next meal. -

There is a reason why this place is not doing well...read on! I guess I come to burrp only to critically Pan restaurants that have met my displeasure :). I have been going to East for the past few years with my cousins and I agree that the food is good, but the service leaves a LOT to be desired. On the evening of the 27th of February I went there with a cousin. Near the entrance of the restaurant there was a place available to park and I parked my car.
