INTRO AND AMBIENCE : Visited F Bar Tuesday Night 15/05/2012 and booked a table for two in advance. As soon as you enter you know youve come to an elite fashion spot. The Place is done up beautifully and the decor, interiors and ambience are definitely winning it for the place the very instant you step in. The amazing and spacious lobby of the Indiabulls One Tower itself exudes a great vibe and gets you set for a Royal welcome.
When I arrived at 8:45 (yes it was an early dinner) the place was empty with maybe three other tables occupied. The servers were very attentive probably coz they were free with not too many guests around. Since its a brand new place and probably due to my day and time of visit, the chef himself came out and helped us select dishes from the menu which was awesome. One of the servers kept hovering around our table a tad too much more than our comfort level would enjoy and kept us badgering with questions like if we would like to drink something over and over again, even after being asked for a few minutes to order, is the only point I was not too happy with.
FOOD: The menu is extensive with a lot of innovative names and items primarily a mix of Italian and Indian items. We went in for Chicken Caesar salad which was perfect with the chicken being very soft and tender. Decent portion for Rs. 450 (with chicken). We then ordered the tava ravas seared with tequila sauce (Rs.450) as an apetizer reccomended by the chef. The presentation was great, but just four ravas pieces and nothing to brag about for the taste. It was more bland than anything but the ravas was definitely fresh and cooked well. Next Burnt Garlic prawn Risotto (Rs 650)which was made really well and tasted good too. Not spectacular but definitely very good. We ordered a mocktail English Summer which was average a tad too sweet (Rs. 250).
DESSERT: We signed off with Baileys Kulfi with gulab jamun (Rs. 600) which was DELICIOUS however the gulab jamuns were not the best Ive had. But the Kulfi definitely made it worth it !
OVERALL the place is definitely worth more than just one visit. The ambience and interiors are definitely the high points. I was told that on weekends it gets packed and entry with cover etc however before 10:30 PM there will be no cover to enter on weekends too. 1 star less for the annoying server, NO TAKE-AWAY/TOGO (since they have no containers was the reason: its okay to have no carry out to keep the standard up but just a mention of it somewhere would be helpful for people maybe for the future) and average Tava Ravas (apetizer). Else everything perfect.
Thank for reading. Hope the review helps.
