I totally agree with the review mickey mouse has given about Fame Cinemas, Inorbit Mall.
They started out having a separate counter for Internet bookings, but that has long since been closed and all internet booking customers also have to stand in the long, badly-managed lines to get their tickets. We book online in advance simply so we can avoid the long queues, so this defeats the purpose of doing so.
Even Sterling Cinemas has a separate counter for tickets booked over the internet, so why can't Fame???
Queue management is extremely poor, they need to increase their ticket counters to deal with the heavy crowds, especially on the weekends (they already have the infrastructure for the same, i.e. the 3 additional counters opposite the current ones, but the additional ones are always closed).
Security check at the entrance is also a sham (as is the case with most places in India), most times they ask the guys to open the bags but let girls walk through unchecked. And bags are never really checked, they just open it and glance inside for a second.
As mentioned by the previous reviewer, many food stalls inside are either closed or the equipment doesn't work. Considering that they charge a bomb for the humble popcorn, the least they can do is keep multiple counters open so people can grab a quick bite and don't have to miss the movie.
Hygiene inside the cinema halls has also gone for a toss, they do not clean up often enough and never spray an air- freshner, leading to a stale smell in the halls.
Fame really needs to improve service if they want to compete with PVR and even our older cinemas like Sterling and Metro who have moved ahead with the times and offer excellent service to customers.
