We frequent Mocha in this area (Lokhandwala) which is right above this eatery, and seen quite a crowd smoking up hookahs in Fanoos. Yesterday 5 of us decided to drop by here for a quick dinner.
Since none of us are the hookah types, I don't know if we made the wrong decision to come in here. They have a larger outdoor seating and a smallish inside space. Since the outdoors were filled with hookah smoke of a myriad of flavours (nauseating when all intermingled), we preferred the indoors (only to know that hookah permitted here too :)
Anyway- we ordered some mushroom baby corn rolls for the two of us veggies and the chicken lovers ordered a chicken tikka kabab, a chicken shawarma roll and another chicken panini kinda dish.
The food was quite good, the garlic-yogurt sauce was very delicious...something that will make everything taste good. Their menu was quite elaborate with many options for vegetarians too. The Pizza list was quite long, indicating that they probably specialize in pizzas.
Two put offs, in my humble opinion, were a couple of cockroaches I spotted crawling under our feet (there could be more) and the creepy- looking crowd (indoors). Also, the entire cold storage display (meant for desserts and such) was messily crammed with mineral water bottles - looking like a mini godown.
Service was strictly OK, i'll give them the benefit of doubt on that one though - because the poor quality service was not due to an unwilling waiter, but because he did not quite understand English or Hindi.
The food is VFM, with all the above coming to Rs.600 inclusive of tip.
Since the food was good, we'll recommend either eating in your car or doing a take-away. Unless you are a hookah addict, you can do without sitting in and eating here.
