The hotel has just done a soft launch so only the bar and coffee shop are operational right now. When we asked why they havent advertised the hotel yet they mentioned they were looking for select crowd rather than a horde so they could tailor the music, drinks and food based on their preferences.
Being a regular at Sampan decided to do a tour of the hotel and and what facilities they have. We were taken on a tour of the bar by the beverage manger himself.
Though the name sounds italian it is anything but. Its a song where apparently the singer was soo drunk that instead of garden of eden he said gadda da vida and it struck.
I just loved the way they have done up the place. Very classy and a great place to take a date for a romantic evening. Pretty much empty right now since most people don't even know about it.
Drinks: Had a white wine and a friend had a yen for something strawberry and boy did the bartender whip up strawberry. Its was a bit sweet but definately strawberry. Its served with some fried peas with a dash of wasabi. A nice departure from the usual bar munchies.
Didn't eat anything so cant comment on the food but they apparently have good variety to suit all palates.
Service: Was very good exactly the way it should be in any good hotel. Polite and ready to provide whatever you need.
Damages: Well the drinks were on the house so cant comment. (And no its not got 5 stars due to that)
I loved it and am definately go more often now. A very welcome addition to Juhu's watering holes.
